We were requested to produce a series of digital ceramic panels specifically designed by the acclaimed artist Clare Woods to adorn the walls of a shopping area in Dallas, Texas.
Having worked with Clare on numerous projects over the last 8 years we produced a total of 11 panels with a design that flowed from panel to panel. Each panel incorporating 209 no 200×200 tiles and being 3.8m high x 2.2m wide. In total the project incorporated almost 2300 tiles and over 90m2.
The original design was created as a single water colour painting which was photographed at extremely high resolution and broken down into the series of 11 same size panels. Each panel was produced as individual tiles using digital ceramic technology and shipped in bespoke protective wooden crates.
The murals were installed on site as framed panels following the detailed key which identified the location and orientation of every single tile.
The panels were unveiled by Clare Woods in April 2019.
